Offered for sale is a late 1970’s yellow Devo radiation suit. This is a complete two-part suit including the pants with an elastic waist and a jacket with four plastic snaps.
This item was acquired as a souvenir at a 1978 performance in Houston, Texas. This comes out of our own collection; we bought it at the Devo show, tried it on once, and filed it away.
About this item: This is an original 1978 Devo radiation suit, made by Atex USA and sold as a souvenir on the band’s 1978 tour for their debut album, Are We Not Men?
This suit is made from Olefin and is hand-washable.
The size on the tags on both the pants and the jacket say “SMALL,” though it’s a pretty big small.
It fits this writer, who stands five feet nine inches tall and weighs 1970 pounds, so it should fit most small to average sized adults, though I’m not sure why you’d actually wear it.
Condition is VG++ and close to M-, with trace fading due to age and the fact that these things just weren’t made to last.
