Offered for sale is a Japanese pressing of She Was Too Good to Me by Chet Baker, complete with insert and original obi.
About this copy: This copy of She Was Too Good to Me is a 1982 Japanese pressing of an LP that was originally released in 1974.
The cover is M- with a couple of tiny corner dents. The obi, insert and disc are all M-, and the disc has clearly only been played a couple of times.
A nice copy of a terrific Chet Baker LP.
Background: Originally released in 1974, She Was Too Good to Me was seen at the time as a “comeback” album for Baker, who had been fairly quiet for a few years due to various personal struggles.
Baker began his comeback after five years of musical inactivity with this excellent CTI date. Highlights include “Autumn Leaves,” “Tangerine,” and “With a Song in My Heart.” Altoist Paul Desmond is a major asset on two songs and the occasional strings give variety to this fine session.
