Cherie Lynn – Shades of Cherie rare 1964 private label jazz LP

A rare copy of the only album by jazz singer Cherie Lynn, titled "Shades of Cherie."

$295.00

Offered for sale is a rare 1964 jazz vocal LP by Cherie Lynn, Shades of Cherie, issued on the Breeze label.

Cherie Lynn (1932-2007) was a sometime singer who was married to West Coast band leader Glenn Henry (1915-1993).  Henry was quite popular on the West Coast, but did relatively little recording, releasing only a few small-label 78 RPM records during his career.

Shades of Cherie, recorded in Los Angeles in 1964 and released on the private Breeze label, was the only album recorded by either of them.

It’s a nice small-combo jazz LP consisting of half vocal tracks and half instrumentals.

About this copy: This copy of Shades of Cherie is an original 1964 pressing on the Breeze label, featuring vocalist Cherie Lynn accompanied by her husband, Glenn Henry, and his band.

The cover is still in the original shrink wrap and is M-.

The record is M- on one side and VG++ on the other, marred only by a very faint fingernail mark through three tracks.

The record only has a couple of spindle marks and has obviously been played only a few times.

A beautiful copy of a rarely-seen jazz vocal LP and the only copy of this album we have ever seen.
