Offered for sale is a stereo promotional copy of Bud & Travis’ 1964 LP, In Person.
Bud & Travis were a successful folk duo, recording ten albums for Liberty in the late 1950s and 1960s without ever managing a hit. They were quite talented and their records remain a good listen.
The album offered for sale is a promotional copy of their 1964 live album, In Person, and is a scarcer stereo copy. The label is the cream-colored label that Liberty used for most of their promotional issues in the 1960s and the back cover has a printed box which warns DJs and programmers to audition certain tracks before airplay. This box was not present on the covers of commercial or stock copies of the album.
The cover is VG, with slight wear on the edges and a bit of ring wear. “#147” is written on the back cover. The record is VG++ and appears to have only had a couple of plays, with just a few scuffs on the vinyl from being removed from the paper sleeve.
A nice copy of a scarce 1960s folk album that’s somewhat hard to find in stereo.
