Offered for sale is a still sealed picture disc of Bruce Springsteen’s 1978 LP, Darkness on the Edge of Town.
After the success of Born to Run, Bruce Springsteen waited three years for the follow-up LP due to legal problems with his management team. The long-awaited follow-up, Darkness on the Edge of Town, has since gone triple platinum and saw “Prove It All Night” and “Badlands” released as singles.
To promote the album, Columbia Records released a limited-edition picture disc LP of the album, but released it only to radio stations as a promotional item, making it one of the harder to find Springsteen collectibles.
The copy of the Darkness on the Edge of Town picture disc offered for sale is still sealed and is presumably new and unplayed. There are no tears or breaks in the shrinkwrap. A beautiful example of a classic LP.
