Offered for sale is a red vinyl pressing of the live album Isle of Wight by Bob Dylan, released on the collectible Trademark of Quality label.
About this copy: This copy of Isle of Wight is an early TMOQ release, with the “sideways pig” logo on the label.
The cover is M-, but the original insert has been glued to the front cover, so we don’t know if the cover has the title stamped on it or not.
The red vinyl disc is VG++, with a couple of faint sleeve scuffs. It appears to have only been played once or twice.
While the record appears to be black in the photos, it is red, albeit a very dark red.
A nice copy of a scarce Dylan LP.
Background: Bob Dylan’s appearance at the 1969 Isle of Wight concert was his first live performance in two years. It was released on a variety of labels in the early 1970s, though the Trademark of Quality pressing is probably the best-known version.
