Offered for sale is one of the most amazing early live recordings you will ever hear of Bob Dylan – the two record set, Halloween Masque. Recorded on October 31, 1964 at Carnegie Hall, this two record set was professionally recorded for an intended commercial release. As such, the sound quality is simply astonishing, with detail and clarity that are severely lacking on most early Dylan third-party releases. This particular pressing was issued by 4th Street Records in 1988.
Tracks include: The Times They Are A-Changin’
Spanish Harlem Incident
Talkin’ John Birch Paranoid Blues
Gates of Eden
If You Gotta Go, Go Now
It’s Alright Ma (I’m Only Bleeding)
I Don’t Believe You
Who Killed Davey Moore
Mr Tambourine Man
A Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall
Talkin’ World War III Blues
Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right
The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll
Mama, You Been On My Mind
With God On Our Side
It Ain’t Me, Babe
All I Really Want to Do
The discs, pressed by 4th Street Records, were pressed on beautiful, high-quality virgin vinyl. The records are in M- condition, having been played no more than twice. They’re simply gorgeous.
The slick posterboard cover is in M- condition, with just a couple of slight dings on the corners.
As early live Dylan recordings go, this one is truly breathtaking. A rare and desirable piece of early Bob Dylan history.
