About this copy: This copy of Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath is a 1978Japanese issue on the “spaceship” Vertigo label of an album that was originally released in 1973.
The cover is M-, with trace corner wear. Unlike the 1973 issue, this version does not have a gatefold cover.
The obi and insert are M-.
The disc is VG++ and close to M-, with a couple of faint scuffs on each side. It’s a clean disc that has had little play.
A nice copy of a hard rock classic and the only copy of this particular pressing that we’ve ever had for sale.
Background: Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath is the fifth album by Black Sabbath, released in late 1973. The album continued their streak of big-selling albums, despite the relative lack of airplay. The album reached #11 on the U.S. charts and was certified platinum by the RIAA.

With 1973’s Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, heavy metal godfathers Black Sabbath made a concerted effort to prove their remaining critics wrong by raising their creative stakes and dispensing unprecedented attention to the album’s production standards, arrangements, and even the cover artwork. … All things considered, though, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath was arguably Black Sabbath’s fifth masterpiece in four years, and remains an essential item in any heavy metal collection.
