Offered for sale is a scarce original Columbia Record Club issue of the 1977 soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever, featuring the Bee Gees.
About this copy: This is an early version of the album that includes the studio version of “Jive Talkin’;” later pressings replaced that song with a live version.
The cover is still in the original shrink wrap and is M-. The discs are VG++, and just have a couple of very slight marks from being removed from the paper inner sleeves. These records have clearly seen very little play.
Background: This copy of Saturday Night Fever is a bit unusual in that it’s an original record club issue. Unlike the regular issues, this version does not feature a gatefold cover.
It also has a silver label, rather than the beige label that was used on the copies sold in record stores. This version of the LP did not include custom inner sleeves.
