Background: While Main Course was the Bee Gees’ 11th album to be released worldwide, the album marked a change in the band’s sound from soulful ballads to uptempo disco numbers.
Not everyone liked that, but the album was a success, reaching #14 on the American albums chart and spawning three hits – “Fanny, “Nights on Broadway,” and the #1 hit, “Jive Talkin’.” The album was certified gold by the RIAA.
