Offered for sale is a limited edition blue vinyl pressing of Yellow Matter Custard by the Beatles, issued by the Trademark of Quality label in 1972.
About this copy: This copy of Yellow Matter Custard is an early TMOQ pressing, with labels reading “1” and “2,” rather than showing the company’s pig logo.
The cover is VG+, with a bit of fading along the spine and a bit of general wear. The original insert has been glued to the back cover. There is an orange sticker attached to the cover with a pig and the words “Trade Mark of Quality.”
The blue vinyl disc is VG++, with a few sleeve scuffs. The record has clearly been played only a couple of times.
A nice copy of a seldom-seen Beatles LP.
Background: Yellow Matter Custard, an album of studio outtakes, was the seventh Beatles LP to be released on the Trademark of Quality label in the early 1970s. The LP was pressed multiple times, with several label variations and it was pressed on both black and colored vinyl.
