Offered for sale is a mid-1970s Apple label pressing of The Early Beatles by the Beatles.
After Capitol Records acquired the rights to the first Beatles album from Vee Jay Records, they opted not to reissue either Introducing the Beatles or the British Please Please Me LPs, but instead put together an altogether different collection of songs from the same material, with the title The Early Beatles.
The album was essentially Introducing the Beatles, with a few tracks left out that had already been released on other albums. The public was largely indifferent, and the album only reached #43 on the Billboard album chart.
