Description
Offered for sale is an original red vinyl Japanese pressing of Let It Be by the Beatles, including the original set of two obi.
About this copy: This copy of Let It Be is a 19701 Japanese pressing on the Apple label, pressed on “Everclean” red vinyl.
This is the standard release that followed the limited box set issue.
The cover is VG+, with slight edge and corner wear. The two obi are M-; the “hojyuhyo” (reorder tag) is still attached to the medallion obi. The insert is VG++ with slight foxing.
The disc is M- with a number of spindle marks on the labels, but no marks on the vinyl. Clean disc!
A nice copy of Beatles LP that we rarely see complete.
Background: Let It Be was the final studio album by the Beatles, issued just as they were breaking up in early 1970. Containing the hits “Let It Be” and “The Long and Winding Road,” the album reached #1 on the album charts in both the U.S. and the UK.
In Japan, the album was released as both a box set with a book and a regular issue with a gatefold cover, similar to the U.S. release. First pressings were issued on “Everclean” red vinyl, and included 2 obi, rather than the customary one.
