About this copy: This copy of Underdog is an original Japanese pressing, complete with lyric insert and obi.  This one’s M- all around, aside from a tiny bit of wear on the corners of the cover.

A nice copy of a terrific album.

Background: Underdog, released in 1979, was the follow-up album to Champagne Jam, which had been released the previous year and which had become the first and only ARS album to reach the American Top 10 on the album charts.

Underdog is best remembered for their cover of “Spooky,” a song that had been a hit for the Classics IV a decade earlier.  Several members of the Classics IV later became members of ARS.  “Spooky” reached #17 on the singles charts, and “Do It Or Die” reached #19.

Underdog was certified gold by the RIAA reached #26 on the album charts.
