Offered for sale is a rare Japanese pressing of the only album by Armageddon, complete with obi.
Armageddon was billed as a “supergroup” when their only album was released in 1975. Their singer was Keith Relf of the Yardbirds, their drummer was Bobby Caldwell from Captain Beyond, and their guitarist Martin Pugh and bassist Louis Cennamo had both played in Steamhammer.
The album contained 5 tracks, and four of them were loud, long, hard rock pieces that got a fair amount of airplay on FM radio at the time. The band didn’t tour, however, and that, combined with the label’s seeming lack of interest in promoting the album, led to poor sales.
Armageddon has since developed a cult following, and it’s one of our favorite hard rock albums of the 1970s.

About this copy: This copy of Armageddon is an original Japanese pressing, issued in 1975 and including the original lyric insert and obi. Unlike many titles from japan, Armageddon was only released once and never reissued.
The cover is VG++, with traces of edge and corner wear. The disc is M- and clearly has had very little play.
A beautiful copy of a hard rock monster.
