An original Japanese copy of Holiday by America, complete with obi and lyric insert.
Offered for sale is an original Japanese pressing of Holiday by America, complete with lyric insert and obi.
Holiday, released in 1974, was America’s fourth album and their third of what would eventually be six consecutive studio albums to feature a title beginning with the letter “H.”
The album, produced by Beatles producer George Martin, reached #3 on the Billboard albums chart and featured two Top 10 singles – “Tin Man,” and “Lonely People.”
America fully recovered from Hat Trick’s dismal results with 1974’s Holiday, with producer George Martin’s influence rubbing off on both of the album’s Top Five singles. With “Tin Man”‘s wonderfully polished soft pop ease and the wispiness of “Lonely People,” the band was able to recapture the same formula that put early hits like “A Horse with No Name,” “I Need You,” and “Ventura Highway” in the Top Ten.
About this copy: This copy of Holiday is an original Japanese pressing, released in 1974, and including the original obi and lyric insert.
The cover is VG++, with traces of wear at the corners. The obi, which includes the “hojyuhyo”, or reorder tag, is M-, as is the record, which appears to have had little, if any play.
A beautiful copy of a pretty good album.
