Offered for sale is a still sealed U.S. CD-4 quadraphonic copy of Eat a Peach by the Allman Brothers Band, featuring different mixes from the stereo version of the album.
About this copy: This copy of Eat a Peach is a 1975 U.S. pressing on the Capricorn label.
As the album is still sealed, the records are presumably new and unplayed.
The wrap is fully intact except for a 1 1/2″ (4 cm) break at the mouth of the cover near the upper right hand corner and a tiny break at the lower right hand corner where the cover is slightly bent.
There are a couple of tiny foxing spots on the cover near the breathe holes in the shrink wrap. Other than that the cover, is M-.
There is an original price sticker attached to the shrink wrap (not shown in photos.)
Unlike most copies, this copy does not have a saw mark, punch hole, or cut corner on the cover.
A beautiful copy of a rare Allman Brothers LP, as this version of the album was only in print for a short time in the mid-1970s.
Background: Released in 1972, Eat a Peach was the fourth album by the Allman Brothers and the first to be released after the death of Duane Allman.
In 1975, a quadraphonic version of the album was released that featured different mixes of all of the songs on the album.
The album reached #4 on the U.S. album charts.

A tribute to the dearly departed Duane, Eat a Peach rambles through two albums, running through a side of new songs, recorded post-Duane, spending a full album on live cuts from the Fillmore East sessions, then offering a round of studio tracks Duane completed before his death. On the first side, they do suggest the mellowness of the Dickey Betts-led Brothers and Sisters, particularly on the lovely “Melissa,” and this stands in direct contrast with the monumental live cuts that dominate the album.
