Offered for sale is a Japanese white label promotional copy of the double album Eat a Peach by the Allman Brothers Band, including the original obi and a smaller second one.

About this copy: This copy of Eat a Peach is a 1976 Japanese white label promo pressing of an album that was originally released in 1972.

The cover is VG+, with slight edge wear and a spot on the back cover where it appears that a sticker has been removed.

Both obi are VG++, with no tears or rips, but a bit of foxing on the back.

There are three inserts – a lyric insert, the lithogaph with the song titles on it, and a booklet (in Japanese) about Duane Allman.  All are M-.

The two white label promo discs are M- with a couple of spindle marks on the labels, but no marks on the vinyl.  The discs have clearly only been played a couple of times.

A gorgeous copy of a classic LP.

Background: Released in 1972, Eat a Peach was the fourth album by the Allman Brothers and the first to be released after the death of Duane Allman.

The album reached #4 on the U.S. album charts. gave Eat a Peach  a 5 star review:

A tribute to the dearly departed Duane, Eat a Peach rambles through two albums, running through a side of new songs, recorded post-Duane, spending a full album on live cuts from the Fillmore East sessions, then offering a round of studio tracks Duane completed before his death. On the first side, they do suggest the mellowness of the Dickey Betts-led Brothers and Sisters, particularly on the lovely “Melissa,” and this stands in direct contrast with the monumental live cuts that dominate the album.
