Offered for sale is a rare 2 LP set by the Allman Brothers Band, entitled 2 Originals of the Allman Brothers, released in Germany in 1973.

The Warner/Elektra/Atlantic group in Germany released a number of albums in the “2 Originals of…” series in the early 1970s.  Originally, the series was only issued in Germany, though some of the titles were later released in Yugoslavia, as well.

2 Originals of the Allman Brothers is a repackaging of the band’s first two albums, The Allman Brothers Band and Idlewild South.  These albums were packaged together in the United States as Beginnings, but with a completely different cover from the one used here.

About this copy: This copy of 2 Originals of the Allman Brothers is an original pressing, released in 1973 in Germany.   The cover is VG++, with just traces of wear at the edges and corners, but no ring wear.  The two discs are M- and appear to have had little, if any, play.

A beautiful copy of a hard to find Allman Brothers collectible.
