About this copy: This copy of Love It To Death is a 1972 Japanese pressing on the Warner Brothers label of an album that was originally issued in 1971 with the same catalog number, but with a different obi.

The cover is VG+, with slight general wear.  The obi is VG+, with slight wear at the bottom edge and a bit of foxing on the back.  The “hojyuhyo” (reorder tag) is still attached.

The insert is VG+ with slight discoloration from age on one edge.

The disc is VG++ and close to M-, with a couple of light inaudible scuffs on each side.  It’s a clean disc that has obviously been played just a couple of times.

A nice copy of a very rare Alice Cooper LP.

Background: Released in 1971, Love It To Death was the third album by Alice Cooper.

The album reached #35 on the U.s. album charts.

Allmusic.com gave Love It To Death a 4 1/2 star review:

Alice Cooper’s third album, Love It to Death, can be pinpointed as the release when everything began to come together for the band. Their first couple of albums (Pretties for You and Easy Action) were both largely psychedelic/acid rock affairs and bore little comparison to the band’s eventual rip-roaring, teenage-anthem direction. The main reason for the quintet’s change was that the eventually legendary producer Bob Ezrin was on board for the first time and helped the Coopers focus their songwriting and sound, while they also perfected their trashy, violent, and theatrical stage show and image. …Love It to Death was the first of a string of classic releases from the original Alice Cooper group.
