Offered for sale is a sealed stereo copy of The Who Sell Out by The Who with no cutout marks.
Opinions vary, of course, but many critics believe that The Who never made a better album than their 1967 homage to pirate radio, The Who Sell Out. The album, complete with fake commercials, included a number of now well-known songs, including the hit, “I Can See For Miles.” The fact that the cover did not list the song titles probably didn’t do much to help sales, but the clever cover, which included a shot of Roger Daltrey in a bathtub full of beans, remains one of the most memorable in rock history.
The copy offered for sale is a sealed stereo U.S. pressing, and is unusual in that it does not have any cutout marks, as do most copies of the album that turn up for sale. The shrink wrap is fully intact, with no tears or holes, and the cover has no drill holes or cut corners. Label variation unknown. This is likely as nice a copy of this LP as you’re ever going to find, and it’s a pretty terrific record, too.
