A sealed stereo original copy of the Rolling Stones' 1967 LP Their Satanic Majesties Request with the original 3D cover
The Rolling Stones got away from their R&B roots just once – on their 1967 attempt at psych, Their Satanic Majesties Request. Fans and critics are divided on this album, but it did have some terrific cuts on it, the likes of which they never attempted again.
First pressings of this album had a beautiful 3D “lenticular” cover, which was deleted on subsequent pressings due to cost issues. The copy offered for sale is an original sealed copy with that very 3D cover. The wrap is tight, even at the corners, and there are no tears in the wrap. There is a neatly (and nearly unnoticeable) punched hole in the lower right hand corner of the cover. This is more likely an indication that this copy was issued for promotional purposes, rather than a cutout, as cutouts tend to have drilled holes and promo copies tend to have them punched by machine.
This is a gorgeous sealed example of an album that is quite difficult to find in this condition.
