A scarce vinyl pressing of George Harrison's 1992 LP Live in Japan, pressed only in Germany.
Offered for sale is a copy of the scarce vinyl release of George Harrison’s 1992 LP, Live in Japan, released only in Germany.
George Harrison’s 1992 live album Live in Japan got great reviews upon release. Unfortunately, as record companies were phasing vinyl pressings out at that time, the album received a release on vinyl only in Germany. The pressings were limited and the album was deleted on vinyl after a short press run.
George Harrison returned to the stage for the first time in years in 1991; that Japanese tour is documented on the fine double-disc set Live in Japan. Backed by a stellar supporting band led by Eric Clapton, Harrison turns in surprisingly strong versions of his best solo material; it easily surpasses Paul McCartney’s double-disc Tripping the Live Fantastic or Paul Is Live. Not bad for a guy who doesn’t like to give concerts.
About this copy: This copy of Live in Japan is an original German pressing of the 2 LP set, including the two custom inner sleeves.
The cover is VG+, with a bit of wear on the corners and some minor bends. The hype sticker on the cover is slightly discolored.
One disc is VG++, with just a couple of very faint sleeve scuffs. The other disc is VG+, with a couple of small, but fairly insignificant marks.
A nice copy of an album that has become quite hard to find on vinyl.
