A sealed copy of the 1973 Buckingham Nicks LP
Offered for sale is a sealed copy of the Buckingham Nicks LP, the only release from Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham as a duo.
Before joining Fleetwood Mac and becoming superstars, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks recorded an album as a duo. Buckingham Nicks, released in 1973, featured the same folk rock sound that the pair brought to Fleetwood Mac just two years later. Despite the release of two singles, the album sold poorly and was soon deleted.
When Buckingham and Nicks joined Fleetwood Mac and became successful, Polydor Records reissued the album. The second issue was nearly identical to the first, but lacked the gatefold cover. While this album sold reasonably well, the album was deleted in the early 1980s, possibly at the request of Buckingham and Nicks themselves. Since that time, the album has not been legally reissued anywhere in any format, including compact disc, though numerous unauthorized versions of the album (including some on colored vinyl) exist.
The copy of Buckingham Nicks offered for sale is a still sealed copy of the second issue of the album without the gatefold cover. The wrap is tight and has no holes, rips or tears, and the record is new and presumably unplayed. There is a “Sound Savers” sticker attached to the front shrinkwrap.
A beautiful copy of an album that’s getting surprisingly hard to find, and the only sealed copy we’ve ever had for sale.
