FREE U.S. shipping! - A scarce second pressing of Bob Dylan's Blood on the Tracks with the mural cover
Offered for sale is a scarce second pressing of Bob Dylan’s Blood on the Tracks, featuring the “mural” back cover, still in the original shrink wrap and including a hype sticker.
The first pressings of 1975’s Blood on the Tracks featured liner notes in black print on the back cover and a small inset photo of a mural. Shortly before the album was completed, Dylan re-recorded some of the material, rendering the information in the liner notes inaccurate. Because of this, Columbia removed the liner notes and used the image of the mural to fill the entire back cover. Then the liner notes were nominated for a Grammy award, and Columbia decided to put the liner notes back on the cover, this time in white print, leaving the “mural” cover as the scarcest version of this classic album.
The copy offered for sale is an exceptionally nice example of the mural cover, as it’s still in the original shrink wrap and includes a hype sticker promoting the songs “Tangled Up in Blue”, “Idiot Wind” and “Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts.” There’s a bit of wear at the corners of the mouth of the cover; we’ll call it VG++. The shrink wrap is fully intact.
The record is VG+, with a few scuffs from the heavy posterboard inner sleeve.
A nice copy of a terrific LP.
