A late 1970s stereo UK pressing of the Beatles first album, Please Please Me
Offered for sale is a nice late 1970s UK stereo pressing of the Beatles first LP, Please Please Me.
Entire books have been written about the confusing variations on the Beatles UK albums on the Parlophone label, and no album seems to have had more pressing variations than their 1963 debut, Please Please Me, which was first issued in 1963. There were at least ten distinct different pressings between 1963 and 1980.
The copy offered for sale is the tenth pressing, with the EMI logo above the Parlophone logo on the label and the EMI Records Ltd. text at the beginning of the perimeter print. This pressing dates from the late 1970s and has GRR stampers on one side and HH stampers on the other. This copy is in very nice condition, with a VG+ cover with slight right wear on the back and a VG++ disc, with just a few faint sleeve scuffs.
A beautiful vintage copy of an important rock classic.
